1”=1’-0” model of play space concept
This design is inspired by my childhood experience; climbing trees in the forest and inventing games with the other children in the neighborhood.
This space is a platform (or platforms) for children to be creative in how they choose to use it. One can climb, dangle, crawl and jump.
This design is of a children’s play space within an 8’ x 8’ x 8’ volume. The process began with 1”=1’-0” scale abstract paper sculptures. These sculptures then inspired our final product in functionality and design. The end result was a 1’ scale model. Below we have process models from start to finish.
